I found the console to be an ideal place to mount electrical switches. I like the ones I bought from Kilby for the on-board air. The safety covers keep the switches from being turned on accidently, and these are waterproof.
You can also see that I upgraded the shifter boot to the leather one that comes in the 2003 and later year TJs. It comes with a soft/flexible metal base that you can bend to shove it in from the top and then straighten out. For me, the rear of the boot sits on the switches and I added a bolt and nut to hold up the front of the boot. |
