Quick Silver Swaybar Disconnects

Connected Disconnected
Driver side connected. Cam pressure released.

Just looking at these I could see the cool factor, I'm just not sure how many people will drop $250 on disconnects. I got them as a part of the complete nth degree 4.5" long arm kit installed by Dennis at Extreme Rubicons with the help of Jim from nth Degree Mobility.

The coolness factor wore off quickly when the disconnects started disconnecting by themselves. The passenger side was the more frequent offender of the two. Soon, the upper rubber isolator on the passenger side started to split.

The advice from nth Degree was to loosen the lower link adapters so that they can flex slightly as the axle moves about. This does nothing, really. They passenger side keeps coming disconnected. Now even more frequently. The rubber is now split significantly and needs replacing.

I called nth and asked for replacement rubber isolators and ask again about my problem. The advice this time was to check the bolt at the top of the disconnect that goes through the heim joint. The head of the bolt should be inside closest to the center of the Jeep. Then the heim joint, a nut, the bracket, and a last nut. The heim joint is off-center towards the center of the Jeep. This adds an outward force to the downward force. (Remember, I didn't install these and never saw any installation manuals.) My passenger side disconnect had spun around and the bolt was pointing in the wrong direction.
