PSC Power Steering Pump

Stock Steering Pump PSC Steering Pump
Original pump and reservoir PSC pump (reservoir not shown).
After 6 years of use, my power steering pump was starting to get louder. I asked around for suggestions and Mike at 4x4Rockshop.com suggested I look at the PSC products. PSC is owned by Tom Allen, formerly of AGR. He left AGR a couple of years ago to start his own company and make things his way. I liked what I saw and got a good deal from the 4x4Rockshop.com.

The stock pump and attached reservoir the left and the PSC pump on the right. There is a separate reservoir for the PSC pump that provides a bit of a challenge to mount. We'll get to that later. I bought the high displacement pump with the aluminum case. With this pump there will be enough fluid power to operate any type of steering system that can dream of, or afford. The kit included the pump, separate reservoir, a mounting bracket, a Goodyear belt, aluminum spacers and enough hoses and fittings to connect almost everything.

This will get a bit messy as we disconnect the power steering pump, hoses and the water reservoirs. Get out a drip pan, a bucket or two, some shop rags and let's get to work.
