The spare mounts on a shaft that has about three different positions so you can get it close to the swing out when you run without the gas cans. |

The bolt and lock nut are easier to push through and tighten with at least one gas can removed. There is also room for a small lock on the end of the bolt.
There is another bolt that tightens upward from the bottom that jams the spare tire mount in place to eliminate rattles. |
