| Remove the brake caliper bolts | Don't hang the brake caliper by the brake lines. | |

The wheel has to come off so I will block the rear wheels, jack up the front end and rest it on a jack stand. With the front wheel removed, I can remove the 2 brake caliper mounting bolts. I'll need to spread the caliper a bit to make it easy to remove it. This pushes the fluid back into the reservoir so, I will make it easier by opening the hood and removing the top to the brake reservoir. This will also remind me to make sure the reservoir is full when I'm done.
I don't want the caliper hanging by the brake line. I used some zip ties to hang it from my control arm. |
