Lower Control Arm Skids

If you run over rocks chances are that those 2 small tabs that hold your lower control arms onto the axle housing are getting a bit of abuse. There are lots of cheap weld-on LCA skid plates but welding is not an option for me at this point, so I opted for a bolt-on solution, for now. Skid Row Automotive makes a bolt on LCA skid plate for Dana 30 or 44 front axle on several Jeep models including the Wrangler and Cherokee. It was the only bolt on skids that I could find. They are made from 1/4" steel plate and the kit includes grade 5 hardware and simple instructions.
