Having found the top of Rowher Trail as it comes up from the other side - a much more popular entrance - I'm ready to start down the hill. I've seen a few Cherokees and even a Liberty on this half of the trail, but it still gets a black diamond rating on the entrance sign.
There is a large hill about half way down that provides a little diversion. You don't have to climb it, but there it is with 3 ways up. The center is fairly impassable. Too soft and dusty and has a shelf near the top that is hard to get up onto. I watched a guy with lockers sit at the top and spin for too long. If it was passable before he got there, he ruined that chance by digging a couple of nice sized holes near the top. Someday I'll have to write some trail etiquette guides for the new members of the sport.
